Warehouse Co-ordinator Finished Goods
PURPOSE OF JOB
Coordinate the activities in the finished product warehouse. This is managing the stock levels of finished product, empty bag stock, bagging materials and pallets. This position ensures stock availability to enable on time delivery of bagged finished product orders.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Finished product planning, ordering, bagging and dispatch
- Utilising available tools to forecast usage to enable timeous ordering of finished product.
- Liaising closely with orders to ensure all orders are filled and delivered at the correct time
- Coordinating with production the manufacturing of required stock
- Assist with identifying continuous improvement actions to improve the productivity of the Bagging and Warehouse operations.
- Enable the Warehouse and Bagging team towards meeting objectives and targets through providing daily schedules.
- Print Finished Goods bag labels according to the production schedule. Ensuring the correct label is used on the correct Finished Goods bag.
- Maintain a daily performance tracker and ensure an accurate daily completion of the Bagging Log Sheet.
Warehouse management
- Finished bagged rows and stacks must be managed daily. A stack should only contain one product; whether it is 3 pallets high, 2 pallets or one. This must be managed throughout the day.
- Ensuring optimum use of space considering legal stacking requirements
- Ensuring FIFO principle is applied
- Managing stock expiry dates according to De Heus policy
- Compliance of agreed product and stock levels
Stock Take
- Responsible for daily stock take of all finished goods produced.
- Ensure that Stock inventory reports has been completed and all variances must be discussed with the Plant manager and ensure to supply reasons for variances as well as a plan on how to improve.
- Ensure to conduct a monthly stock take of all empty bags and submit the report to the Plant manager before the 1st of every month.
Daily administration
- Processing all necessary activities on the DHApps according company procedures, which includes fist and last bags, redress, feed returns, actual bag quantities bagged off.
- HR related items which includes, clocking’s, staff discipline, leave planning and approvals, training, etc.
- Production bonuses
Sundries
- Ensure that orders for all sundry items are placed as and when needed.
- Responsible for the monthly stock take of all sundry items.
Controls empty bags stock levels vs. targets. - Ensure the correct minimum stock on hand and timeously placing of orders to replenish minimum stock requirements
Quality, Risk, Health and Safety, security and Housekeeping
- Monitor Warehouse personnel’s adherence to product and personnel quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that Health & Safety and Housekeeping in the Warehouse is done in accordance to Procedures and put checks in place.
- Ensure a clean and neat warehouse environment inside and outside during all times.
Maintenance
- Ensure maintenance schedules are up to date for equipment as per maintenance program for example, bagging line, forklifts, label printers, etc.
- Escalate any concerns immediately to the Maintenance foreman or Plan Manager

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
- Degree or Diploma in Production Management or Operation Management will be an advantage
- Exposure to safety requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Production Management or Operation Management will be an advantage
- 1 Year experience in a coordinating/supervising position
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word (Advance Level)
- Knowledge of feed milling
- Knowledge of Safety and Risk Management
