Manager: Business Applications & Process Support

PURPOSE OF JOB

The management of the System Support & Development (IS) and Information Technology (IT) department. Providing strategic direction to the design, creation, integration, and implementation of software within the company. Giving guidance on systems processes and technology (hardware and software) to ensure alignment to business processes. This is to ensure a smooth and efficient systems working environment for all staff nationally. Providing cost reduction by employing an effective systems and hardware architecture.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 

Financial Control

  • Budgeting and accounting for the cost of BAPS services both locally and globally.

Service Management

  • Delivering and supporting BAPS services that meet the needs of the business.

Project Management

  • Project management of BAPS systems development and integration solutions.
  • Close collaboration with external developers to provide effective and efficient solutions.
  • You are to ensure the correct and efficient planning, executing, controlling, and closing of a project to achieve the agreed goals, criteria, and deadlines. 

Business Analyst

  • Analysing business processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Translating business requirements into functional specifications for the development team.
  • Facilitating communication between stakeholders and the development team.

Development

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new reports, integrate systems, and solutions for business challenges.
  • Debugging and resolving report defects and issues.

Vendor Management

  • Working with external support personal to provide cost effective, and business compatible support to internal stakeholders.
  • Managing relationships with vendors to ensure the delivery of quality products and services.

Training

  • The training of support and other development personnel on new and existing systems. So that they may provide the required support to the business.

Team Leadership

  • Ensure a motivated, competent, effective and efficient Team that can meet the business requirements. 

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in information systems or computer science
  • Project Management
  • Azure certification
  • Possession of a valid Code 08/EB driver’s license
  • 5+ Years’ experience in a similar position
  • 5+ Years SQL/SSIS/SSRS development
  • 5+ Years systems architecture design
  • 5+ Years business analysis
  • 5+ Year SQL server database administration
  • 5+ Years project management
  • 2+ Year Azure administration
  • Expert MS SQL Query creation, SSIS package and SSRS report creation
  • PowerBI development
  • Azure data platforms management
  • Azure administration
  • Source control management
  • Microsoft MS Excel and MS Word

Adverse Working Conditions

  • From time to time traveling to Plants and De Heus The Netherlands.
  • Working occasionally outside normal business hours.
